I will say it again, In what way might I… “ find a rewarding and challenging position; that will utilize my experience in developing staff, as well as my social and emotional intelligence to inspire organizations, and create engaging opportunities.”
As I graduate from this program I will continue to work on expressing what makes me unique without sounding boastful. I will continue to be true to my family, my colleagues and myself.
This is who I am, these are the things that make me happy and make me want to be the best I can be. I have high expectations of myself and of others and want to help others reach their top potential. I will strive to make an active effort to learn and grow while being authentic and open to everyone. I know I am a good person and I believe that I can make a difference. I am acutely aware that not everyone will agree with me, and I am willing to accept and understand another point of view. I will always make time for someone who needs to be heard.
Greg Lucas, a California state librarian stated, “If people don’t know your value, then you’re not part of the discussion.” I love this quote. I feel like it pinpoints the journey of discovering my personal leadership brand. As I said earlier, I will do my best to always be present, available, and “part of the discussion”.
